International Sailing Federation technological delegates
investigate Qingdao's preparations; Zang Aimin meets with ISF vice
chairman
Zang Aimin, vice mayor and vice standing chairman of the Olympic Sailing
Committee, met with David Kellet, vice chairman of the ISF (International
Sailing Federation). Mayor Zang expressed that with the support of the ISF, the
Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (BOCOG) and the Chinese
Yachting Association, as well as the active participation of the citizens of
Qingdao, Qingdao is confident about the success of the 2008 Olympic sailing
competition.
David Kellet, acting as a technological delegate of the ISF, is
investigating the city's preparations together with Peieris，director of the ISF
competition department. Though this is Kellet's third time to visit Qingdao. It
was the first time that the international sports federation had sent its
technological delegate to investigate preparations for the Beijing Olympic
games.
The BOCOG has placed great importance on this investigation, and is
preparing to set up working procedures for the investigation. The municipal
Party committee and the municipal government have also placed special attention
on this investigation, and are working to fully display all preparations to the
investigators and set a good example for the BOCOG. (Li Xiaohua)

副市長、奧帆委常務(wù)副主席臧愛民昨晚在會見國際帆聯(lián)副主席大衛(wèi)o凱利特時表示，有國際帆聯(lián)、北京奧組委、中國帆船帆板協(xié)會的支持和青島市民的積極參與，青島對辦好2008年奧帆賽充滿信心。
凱利特是以國際帆聯(lián)技術(shù)代表的身份與國際帆聯(lián)競賽部主任佩爾斯一同對青島奧帆賽籌備情況進(jìn)行考察，這也是北京奧運會所涉及的國際單項體育組織第一次派出技術(shù)代表考察北京奧運會的籌備工作，同時也是凱利特第3次訪問青島。
北京奧組委對此次國際帆聯(lián)技術(shù)代表考察青島奧帆賽籌備工作非常重視，并準(zhǔn)備以此為模板，設(shè)立國際單項體育組織技術(shù)代表考察工作程序。市委、市政府對此也極為重視，力求將青島的奧籌工作向客人全面展示，為北京奧組委做出成功的范例。（本報記者
