Middle Age, Elderly Model Contest Draws to an End,

aving Qingdao Resident, Sang Yufeng the Winner
QINGDAO, January 15th- Over 600 citizens watched 88 participants contend in
Qingdao Daily’s Sunshine Hall during Qingdao’s first “Qianchuan General
Merchandise Cup” middle age and elderly fashion model contest. This contest was
hosted by Elderly Living Daily, the Association for Retired Cadres, Qingdao, and
Qingdao Qianchuan General Merchandise.
The Qianchuan Cup had a total of 88 participants, of which the oldest was
83. After preliminaries, rematches and the finals, Wang Danlu, 54, and Li
Ruoping, 76 won gold medals for the middle-age and elderly groups, respectively.
During the competition, contestants were applauded for their grace, chic,
maturity and confidence. Some of the audience expressed that they felt time had
stopped for these beautiful, older models. Qi Shuwen, 83, the oldest of the 88
participants, won great audience recognition and applause for her grace in the
face of age, bringing the contest to a climax. She was later awarded the prize
for best health.
At the awards ceremony, a leader from Elderly Living Daily remarked: “l(fā)ife
is like a mirror; if you smile at it, you would get a smile in return.”. (Li

15日下午，600多位市民走進(jìn)青島日報(bào)報(bào)業(yè)集團(tuán)陽光大廳，觀看了由老年生活報(bào)、青島市老干部文體協(xié)會、青島千川百貨商廈主辦的，青島市首屆“千川百貨杯”中老年服裝模特大賽決賽盛況。
這次中老年服裝模特大賽，共有88名選手報(bào)名參加，其中年齡最大的已是83歲高齡。通過預(yù)賽、復(fù)賽、決賽，54歲的王丹露和76歲的李若萍分別捧得中年組和老年組金獎。
在決賽現(xiàn)場，參賽選手以其或端莊或帥氣或成熟或自信的出色表現(xiàn)，贏得在場觀眾的不斷喝彩。有的觀眾感嘆道：時光在這些美麗的中老人面前停止了腳步。83歲選手齊淑文的登臺，觀眾更是給以雷鳴般掌聲，久久不息，將比賽推向高潮。她也獲得了本次大賽最佳健康獎。
