The lucky boy counted Ch
ina's 1.3 billionth citizens and the date, January
6, 2005, become the 1.3 Billion Population Day of China.
With thirty six hundred and sixty gram and fifty-two cm, the boy is in good
condition. So far, the boy has no name. His mother is LanHui in her 31 with the
Shell Group of Companies and the boy's father is one staff from AirChina.
"He opens his eyes", the first words spoke by the new mama when she dandle
her baby. "I am very happy, and I am the happiest man in the world," the baby's
father said.
Gu Xiulian, Vice-Chairperson of the NPC Standing Committee and President of
the ACWF, visited to the Hospital to see the new coming citizen. Zhang Weiqing,
director of National Population and Family Planning Commission of China, awarded
him the certificate and gifts.
According to the data from National Bureau of Statistics of China, the
population in China mainland will reach one billion two hundred and ninety-nine
million eight hundred and eighty thousand by the end of 2004. Base on this
statistics, in 2004, there are 20 thousand 8 hundred net increasing daily in
China. Therefore, on January 6, this population will top at 1.3 billion.
The nation's population policy over the past 25 years has contributed to
balanced development, delaying the date of the landmark figure by four years.

根據(jù)國(guó)家統(tǒng)計(jì)局2004年人口變動(dòng)情況抽樣調(diào)查，2004年底中國(guó)大陸總?cè)丝谑?29988萬(wàn)人，據(jù)此推算，2004年全國(guó)平均每天凈增人口為2.08萬(wàn)人，因此，到2005年1月6日，中國(guó)內(nèi)地人口達(dá)到13億。
這一天，"遲到"了4年中國(guó)13億人口日的到來(lái)，比預(yù)計(jì)推遲了4年，這表明中國(guó)人口和計(jì)劃生育事業(yè)取得了巨大成就。
