????On the 13th of July 2016, the first batch of 8 rare animal specimens donated by Mr. Kenneth Behring came to Qingdao after passing the inspection and quarantine, including 4 species such as the African Lion, Chacma Baboon, and Back Hanuman and the total value is about 7,000 USD. On the 19th of July 2016, the second batch of specimens donated by Mr. Behring arrived in Qingdao, which included 4 species and 6 specimens namely, African Lion, African Elephant, giraffe, and ratel and are worth about 73,900 USD. On February 6th, the third batch donated by Mr. Behring, 263 specimens of 120 species and worth 50,300 USD, arrived in Qingdao. The specimens range from large animals such as pronghorn and musk ox to little animals such as jumping hares and chipmunks. It is said that Mr. Behring will donate over 400 specimens of rare animals to Qingdao and the specimens will be delivered to Qingdao in batches.
